Abstract: In this article, the problem of the quality of Russian higher education is actualized. The aspects of attestation and evaluation of the quality of professional activity of teachers of sports-oriented universities are considered. The foreign experience of attestation of the teaching staff of higher educational institutions is analyzed on the basis of which recommendations of a recommendatory character are given for application in the Russian higher education system of the most acceptable ones.
