Abstract: The article reveals the meaning of the term «accessibility» in relation to housing and communal services. The characteristic of physical, economic and information accessibility of housing and communal services for the population is given. The analysis of the physical, economic and information accessibility of housing and communal services for the population as one of the indicators of the quality of life of the population is presented. The materials of the municipality present conclusions on the availability of housing and communal services for the population of the city of Tambov. The conclusion is made about the importance of the study of the indicator of affordability of housing and communal services for the population as one of the most important indicators of the quality of life in the municipality.
