Journal of Economics and Political Economy, 2018, vol. 5, issue 2, 146-159

Abstract: This paper applies the bounds test cointegration approach to investigate the factors contributing to the decline in the maternal mortality ratio in Sudan over the period 1969 2015. The study explores the long-run relationships among socioeconomic, demographic, and health-related variables to identify the key determinants of maternal health outcomes. The findings provide evidence of a significant long-term association between female education, healthcare expenditure, and maternal mortality reduction, highlighting the importance of sustainable policy interventions.
