International Journal of Neurology, 1964, vol. 4, issue 2

Abstract: The second issue of Volume 4 of the International Journal of Neurology (1964) was dedicated to meningitis. It featured studies addressing the diagnostic, pathological, and therapeutic aspects of this group of infections affecting the central nervous system. The issue included analyses of cerebrospinal fluid changes in meningitis and the role of electroencephalography in diagnosis. Other contributions examined purulent meningitis in newborns, tuberculous meningitis, and aseptic forms of the disease, providing comparative insights into their clinical evolution. It concluded with an article on the diagnosis and treatment of bacterial and fungal meningitis, followed by a section on personality, maintaining the journal’s integrative clinical perspective.
