Abstract:
This study investigated the factors influencing the adoption of electronic supply chain management within Zambia Airports Corporation Limited in the Zambian aviation industry. Grounded in Rogers' Diffusion of Innovation theory, the study adopted a quantitative cross-sectional survey design and collected data from 252 employees using structured questionnaires. Correlation and multiple regression analyses revealed that perceived innovation characteristics and communication channels significantly and positively influence the adoption of e-SCM. Conversely, adopter characteristics showed a negative predictive relationship. The results indicate that strengthening communication strategies and emphasizing the perceived benefits of e-SCM can significantly enhance technology adoption within the aviation sector.
