Abstract: Die Industrie 4.0 vernetzt auch mittelständische Unternehmen zunehmend in vertikaler und horizontaler Weise. Neben traditionellen Einflussfaktoren (Rechtsform, Publizitätsgrad etc.) erschwert dies Banken zusätzlich die Bonitätsbeurteilung im Rahmen des Kreditgeschäfts. Ebenso wie Großunternehmen müssen Mittelständler hierauf durch eine systematischere und intensivere Finanzkommunikation reagieren. / Industry 4.0 also embeds small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in networks of suppliers, other producers and customers. The credit rating by banks therefore becomes more complex. As a response, SMEs need a more systematic and intensive investor relations approach in the form of banking communications.
