Abstract:
The importance of corporate governance and risk management for SMEs is beyond question. Which steps, however, should SMEs take in the light of their specific characteristics and changes in their environment to identify risks to their business model at an early stage? Risk governance shows particular advantages for SMEs due to its flexibility and scalability.
