Management of the methodological teaching work in the cuban medical university

Abstract: Background: The Cuban educational model of professional training in the health sciences entails the fusion of the pedagogical model of higher education with the health model that has been developed in the country, which undoubtedly distinguishes the conception and development of a training process of itsown. Objective: To support the management of the methodological teaching work in the Cuban medical university. Methods: To support the analysis of the management of the methodological teaching work in the Cuban medical university, methods of the theoretical level were used, such as the historical-logical, systematization and documentary analysis. Results: For the analysis of the management of methodological teaching work, 5 stages are established; First Stage (1962 to 1980: Consolidation of the University Reform and First Regulation of Methodological Work); Second Stage (1981 to 1987: Implementation of the Norms of the Teaching and Methodological Work of the specialties of higher medical education); Third Stage (1988 to 2006: Regulation for the organization of the educational teaching process in the centers of higher medical education - Ministerial Resolution No. 15/88); Fourth Stage (2007 to 2017: Implementation of Resolution 210 /2007); Fifth Stage (2018 - Present: Activity of Resolutions associated with the E Plans of study). Conclusions: The Resolutions issued by MINSAP and MES have had a significant contribution in the management of methodological teaching work in Higher Medical Education Institutions and in the quality of the training of Health System professionals in Cuba.
