Abstract: Introduction: the thyroid cancer is the most common, although alone endocrine carcinoma it represents 1% of the total of types cancer. Their incidence seems to increase 4% every year, and at the present time it is the eighth more frequent cancer in women Objective: to determine the incidence of the thyroid cancer in having operated of the Hospital León Blond Crow, in the period of the 1987 at the 2023. Methods: He/she was carried out an observational, descriptive, retrospective and traverse study, the universe it was constituted by 680 sick persons with affections of the gland thyroid that received surgical treatment, selecting a sample for sampling non probabilístico of 127, that you/they turned out to be positive of cancer. Theoretical, empiric and statistical methods were used when applying the square chi and probability. Results: The group of ages prevailed among 26-45 years, the feminine sex; the wicked affections (24.15%), the carcinoma papilar (80.89hubo a mortality of 3.89%, metástasis in 1,91% and relapses in 2.54%. Conclusion: the thyroid cancer, constitutes a problem you health that he/she goes in increase and it requires of precocious diagnosis, for a better quality of the sick persons life.
