Abstract:
Competency-based training is one of the positive trends in the teaching process in higher education. The formation of management competencies in higher education provides future graduates with the tools not only for their professional practice, but also to fulfill leadership and management roles. The present study was carried out with the objective of analyzing some theoretical and conceptual references of the formation of management competencies in higher education. The analysis of the literature showed that the diverse transformations in the national and international context mark the need for competency-based training in higher education. Management competencies allow graduates to meet the current challenges and the high interests of the country, promoting a professional profile that adequately responds to the challenges of leadership
