Interactive and educational content based on the use of Genially to energize the teaching-learning process in the History subject for Secondary Education students

Abstract:
This study presents the design and evaluation of teaching strategies based on Genially to improve History education in secondary schools. Using a qualitative approach, case studies and classroom observations were conducted to analyze the impact of these strategies on students' learning. It was explored how the use of interactive digital tools facilitates the development of critical thinking and the retention of historical knowledge. The results show that integrating Genially into teaching methodology can promote meaningful and motivating learning, as well as provide a replicable model for other educational institutions. Surveys were conducted with 75 students and 15 teachers. The results reveal an increase in motivation and improved understanding of historical content when Genially is used in the classroom. The proposal involves developing interactive educational content using Genially, including presentations and quizzes, to facilitate the learning of specific topics from Unit 4: Greece, the Cradle of the West, employing dynamic and participatory learning, adapting to different learning styles and student needs to ensure they adequately understand historical content. It is concluded that the use of interactive resources enhances meaningful learning and the active participation of students.
