Education for sustainability: Transforming school curricula

Manuel Frank and Ernesto Ricci

Southern perspective / Perspectiva austral, 10.56294/pa20233

Abstract: The article addresses the integration of Education for Sustainable Development in school curricula, aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDG 4, which promotes inclusive and quality education. A comprehensive reform is proposed that incorporates sustainability as a transversal axis, with emphasis on continuous teacher training in digital competencies and active methodologies such as Project Based Learning. The proposal suggests the use of emerging technologies such as augmented reality for experiential learning and the implementation of evaluation systems that measure the application of competencies in real contexts.
