Abstract: An action research was carried out with the objective of evaluating an educational intervention to reduce the Aedes Aegypti mosquito outbreak in the medical office 61, belonging to the Luis A. Turcios Lima Polyclinic, in the period from September 2020 to June 2022. The universe consisted of 300 families and the sample consisted of 270 families selected by purposive sampling. The following variables were used: mosquito infestation index, intradomiciliary and extradomiciliary environment, entomological and epidemiological component, intradomiciliary, entomological and epidemiological environmental indicators, sanitary culture of the families and the level of knowledge of the patients about arbovirosis. The infestation rate after the action plan decreased. Most of the families had an acceptable intradomiciliary and extradomiciliary environment. In relation to the entomological component and the epidemiological component after the intervention, more than half of the families were found to be at low risk. Regarding the intradomiciliary and extradomiciliary environmental indicators, a preponderance of unprotected water tanks was observed during the study period, an element that subsequently improved. There was a greater predominance of entomological and epidemiological indicators during the period before the educational intervention, which decreased after the intervention. Sanitary culture was, for the most part, regular. The level of knowledge was inadequate in the majority of the families before the action plan; subsequently, the adequate level of knowledge was predominant.
