Abstract:
The article addresses the intersection between production and operations processes in Colombia, focusing on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and the appropriation of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). In this context, the importance of efficiently managing resources and improving quality while considering ethical and responsible aspects that impact the community and the environment is emphasized. CSR has become a priority for Colombian companies, aiming to contribute positively to sustainable development by adopting ethical practices in the supply chain and making a positive impact on local communities The appropriation of ICT has been crucial in transforming business processes in Colombia, allowing for the implementation of integrated information systems, real-time data analysis, and process automation. This has improved efficiency, reduced costs, and contributed to informed decision-making. The article highlights examples in sectors such as agriculture and manufacturing, where the combination of CSR and ICT has generated both economic and social benefits, strengthening the competitiveness of Colombian companies in the global market and contributing to sustainable development in the country.
