Abstract: The HIV research project focused on deepening the understanding of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), as well as developing effective strategies for their prevention, diagnosis and treatment. Key aspects such as the epidemiology of HIV/AIDS, risk factors, prevention strategies and access to antiretroviral treatment were investigated. Literature review activities, analysis of epidemiological data, field studies and evaluation of public health interventions were carried out. Collaboration with research institutions, public health organizations and affected communities will be crucial, especially to include the perspectives of key populations such as people living with HIV and injecting drug users. The results are expected to contribute to scientific advancement, inform evidence-based health policies, and promote effective interventions to combat the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
