Abstract:
From the socioeconomic point of view, the Benito Salas Airport is vital for the economic and tourist development of the region. Airports are not just gateways for tourists, but also bases for corporate and government activities. The Department of Huila is one of the main coffee-producing regions of Colombia, and the Benito Salas Airport has played an important role not only in the export of this coffee product, but also in the import of raw materials and agricultural machinery. In addition, the airport also served to connect the region with other major cities. There is little interest on the part of the public entity to optimize the services and coverage that the airport presents, the purpose of the research is to draw a route that allows the airport leadership to project itself to the needs and characteristics demanded by the current market. From the readings that are projected, it is necessary to have an airport that allows progress and development plans
