Abstract:
In the current ultra-competitive world in which we live, in which cents of difference can leave you out of the market and that the company Ledesma SAAI is found and is not exempt, it is that this case report is developed, which through strategic planning and having carried out a situation analysis, in which the conclusion is reached that the sugar market is a mature market, that it follows population growth trends, that the largest center of consumption is more than 1,600 km from the production plant, and which behaves like a commodity, seeks to generate a cost leadership strategy, taking advantage of its leadership position and its economy of scale, maintaining the same level of service and quality that characterize it, generating a comparative advantage that represents higher profits. To achieve this, the implementation of a multimodal logistics (truck-train-barge) is proposed, which after the financial analysis and its respective indicators, the NPV, the IRR and the ROI, we conclude that it is viable.
