Abstract: Sexual perversions presented a certain interest from the oldest times being approached of psychiatry, psychology, medicine, religion and the law, as well. Even if not as “sexual perversions” we may find references about the criminalization of such acts prior to the current Romanian Penal Code. Article 201 of the current Penal Code criminalizes sexual perversion. The forthcoming criminal legislation brings a new vision regarding the offenses relating to sexual life without including a distinct offense of sexual perversion. In this paper an overview of the various opinions on the discussed topic as well as of the aspects relating to the evolution of the incrimination in our legislation is made
