Abstract:
In the present socio-economic context, governed by the pandemic and the economic crisis, there is a noticeable shift of trend in the institutional communication mode within the public administration and the National Agency of Fiscal Administration in Romania (NAFA), from the usual communication channels to the digital communication. This phenomenon is intensified by the preoccupation towards establishing digital communication with taxpayers and with national and international institutions in order to reach short and long-term management goals. We intend to analyse the efficiency of the strategic actions towards digitalisation through a structured survey applied to a number of 300 economic agents in order to identify both the improvement of the relation between the agency and the taxpayers, as well as the improvement of resource and time management. The methods employed are empirical to the specialised literature and analytical methods based on examining the data obtained in the survey and modelling it in an efficiency model. The result of the research will be useful to the decision-makers within the NAFA who will then be able to use it in identifying any systemic vulnerabilities and in addressing these through consistent adjustment of the strategy.
