Abstract: The digitalization of the economy has become a powerful driving force in recent decades, significantly impacting economic growth globally. This transformation has brought about several changes in how businesses operate, how people interact, and how business transactions occur. In this article, we aimed to explore the influence of the digitalization of the economy on economic growth and highlight the benefits of this evolution. In this approach, we started by analysing the dynamics of digitalization indicators. To demonstrate the role of digitization in economic growth, we used regression analysis considering GDP per Capita as the dependent variable and several variables considered in the DESI calculation as causal variables.
