Abstract:
The paper proposes an analysis of food consumption in the Republic of Moldova, focusing on the differences observed between rural and urban areas, as well as statistical regions. For documentation, articles from scientific databases and official information provided by public institutions were used. Research data provided by the National Bureau of Statistics were used for the study. The research results indicate significant differences between rural and urban areas, as well as at the level of statistical regions. The study findings may be useful to public authorities for developing strategies aimed at the development of the agri-food sector. he conducted research is preliminary in nature, conducted within doctoral studies.
