Abstract: This paper explores the dynamics of workforce mobility in Eastern Europe and its economic impact on both origin and destination countries. It examines the key drivers of migration, such as wage disparities, labor market demands, and economic development, with a focus on the role of migration networks and remittances. The analysis highlights how labor migration from Eastern Europe has contributed to economic growth in both sending and receiving countries by addressing labor shortages, boosting entrepreneurship, and enhancing skill acquisition. However, it also addresses the challenges, including brain drain, dependency on remittances, and the impact on local labor markets. Additionally, the paper discusses the evolving role of Eastern European countries as both sources and destinations for migration, driven by foreign investments and internal economic development. Finally, the study assesses the broader social, political, and economic implications of workforce mobility in the region, offering insights into future migration trends and policy considerations.
