Abstract:
The aim of this research is to capture the main changes to the legislation on VAT, microenterprise income tax and corporate income tax and payroll taxes as of 01.01.2024, as well as to capture how these tax measures will impact the entrepreneurial environment. The methodology of the research is descriptive and based on a qualitative research of specialized literature and national tax legislation, which aimed to achieve the proposed goal. The results of the study revealed that it is vital for entities, but also for individual taxpayers to familiarize themselves with and comply with the new legislative provisions, thus ensuring the development of entities and contributing to the growth and stability of the Romanian economy. Based on the national tax legislation and literature, we have proposed a number of methods for optimizing the value added tax, the tax on microenterprises' income/corporate income tax and the payroll contributions.
