Abstract: ABSTRACT. Aim. The relevance of concepts of the "Dead Souls" poem by N. V. Gogol in our days. Methods. Description, generalization and analysis of the material studied. Results. The authors of the article refute the biased criticism of N. V. Gogol, prove the topicality of the poem concepts through the analysis of the work. Conclusions. The Poem "Dead Souls" by N. V. Gogol in our days is of great importance as a realistic work, the negative phenomena and images of which correspond with the current Russian social life.Â
