Abstract: The article deals with the initial and final formulas of the Kalmyk heroic fairy tales.Methods. The initial formulas consist of typical phrases representing the main characters, place formulas and time formulas.Results. Final formulas are the final stage of the actions of the fairy-tale hero.Conclusions. His way from the beginning of the transition of the boundary from the world of the living to the world of the dead, the subsequent heroic deeds, the return to native nomad lands and the return from another world to the real one.
