PHONETIC AND SYLLABIC TYPES OF REDUPLICATIVE VERBS IN THE LEZGHIN LANGUAGE

Abstract:
Aim. The article deals with the analysis of the pеculiarities of reduplicative mimeo-imitative verb forming, including sound -imitative and iconic verbs in the Lezghin language.Methods. Descriptive, phonetic, morphological and componential analysis of the reduplicative verbs.Results.The phonetic and syllabic types of sound -imitative and iconic verbs, most characteristic of the Lezghin verbal system, are revealed.Conclusions. It is stated that the verbs under consideration are formed by means of reduplicative nominal component combined with an auxiliary verb. Some auxiliary verbs used in the structure of sound-imitative and iconic verbs in the Lezghin language are defined.Â
