Abstract: (VF)Cet article étudie les mécanismes de garantie mis en oeuvre par les membres d’un réseau d’alliances développant un projet d’innovation : garanties d’image, financières ou sur les actifs spécifiques. Nous tentons de combler un vide dans la littérature sur ces garanties, prises pour limiter l’opportunisme des membres. Nous cherchons également à cerner les facteurs qui influent sur le type de mécanismes utilisé par les pivots et / ou par les autres membres. Nous avons réalisé une analyse sur une période de 12 mois, de sept projets d’innovation. Cette recherche montre que les mécanismes mis en oeuvre diffèrent selon le type de membres impliqués et la phase d’avancement du projet. Par ailleurs, selon la phase, les mécanismes instaurés sont soit unilatéraux, soit bilatéraux. Avec l’avancement du projet, la plupart des membres instaurent, en effet, des garanties pour protéger les investissements effectués.(VA)This article seeks to understand the guarantee mechanisms implemented by the members of an alliance network established to develop an innovation project. Such guarantees are image safeguards, financial guarantees or guarantees on specific assets. We seek to identify the factors that influence the types of mechanisms used by the focal firm and/or the other members. We conducted an analysis over a period of 12 months concerning seven innovation projects. This research shows that the mechanisms vary depending on member type and project stage. Furthermore, contingent on project stage, mechanisms are established either unilaterally or bilaterally. As the project goes on, most other members also establish guarantees to protect their investments.
