Abstract: The Nouveau marché has proved to be an important reserve of family businesses. The object of this study is to underline both, their differences and their similarities. The differences enable the conception of a precise classification under the general term of " family business ". The similarities reveal a common approach in relation to the stock market; they partly explain the difficulties encountered since the launch of the Nouveau marché.
