Abstract:
This paper discusses the rationale behind the evolution of strategy from the sixties up until now. The authors construct their analysis around two established frameworks : strategic fit and strategic intent. They conclude that, in the present context, there is a need to overcome this duality. They suggest an approach to corporate and business strategy at a " meta " level, i.e. to develop the capacity to combine different architectures and mindsets.
