Abstract:
No company can nowadays remain indifferent to the impact of its activities on the biosphere. On the contrary, respecting the environment now appears as a truly potential competitive asset for companies. Starting from a Resource approach, the author is attempting to demonstrate, through an empirical and formal approach, a relationship between ecological resources and competencies development and the acquisition of competitive assets for a company. The results partly confirm the supposed connection between these two groups of variables and suggest the necessity for a firm to initiate a truly pro-active approach of environmental concerns.
