Abstract: (VF)Les recherches récentes sur les partenariats de R&D se sont surtout intéressées au domaine industriel entre organisations privées, sous l’angle des politiques gouvernementales d’incitation à l’innovation. Ces travaux laissent dans l’ombre le cas particulier de la collaboration scientifique publique et semi-publique, difficilement assimilable à un Consortium R&D. Pour mieux comprendre ce nouvel objet de recherche, nous proposons de l’aborder en tant que stratégie collective agglomérée à travers l’étude de cas approfondie de la Collaboration ATLAS, une expérience de physique des particules actuellement dans sa phase d’installation au CERN à Genève.(VA)The recent management literature on Research and Development (R&D) partnerships mainly focuses on relationships between industrial firms in the context of public policy incentives. These studies leave unanswered questions concerning the particular case of public or semi-public scientific collaborations, hardly comparable to industrial R&D consortia. In order to better understand this new research object, we propose to analyse it as an agglomerate collective strategy in a case study of the ATLAS collaboration, a particle physics experiment currently being installed at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland.
