Abstract:
The paper attempts to highlight scale-sensitivity of productivity in farming in the semi-primitive economy of the hill state of Mizoram on the basis of primary farm data. It relates to a sample of 100 households in Hortoki and Tuipuibari-I villages for the year 1986-87. Using input-output data an attempt has been made to examine the viability of this mode of agriculture and to identify in it any trace of capitalist farming.
