Abstract:
The objective of this paper is to analyse the role of HRM in the SME from the strategic vision of the owner-managers of SMEs in Cameroon. Using the method of cognitive mapping, it appears from this study that human resource management plays an important role in the strategic vision of the owner-managers of these companies. In effect the most important concept central to their cognitive map refers to a paternalistic human resources management as a sine qua non for achieving the growth targets of these owner-managers.
