The behavior of a polynomial regression under a variables transformation
Catalin Angelo Ioan
The Journal of Accounting and Management, 2013, issue 2, 5-18
Abstract:
The paper treats a problem of a great importance in the author's view relatively to the behavior of polynomial regressions to linear transformations of the variables. If, from a theoretical point of view, the estimation of a process using regressions give the same results, regardless of the size of the exogenous variable, from a practical standpoint the results are not quite so.
