QUALITY OF LIFE AND SUBJECTIVE WELFARE IN EUROPE: AN ECONOMETRIC ANALYSIS

Abstract: For more than three decades psychologists, sociologists and economists have used an ample rank of statistical and econometric techniques to analyze the answers to the questions of subjective well-being, of the all of these techniques the regression analysis it has been the most important tool. In this paper, we combine the subjective perceptions and the objective conditions and we make attempt to development a satisfaction model with the purpose of analyzing: the quality of life of the Europeans by means of European Quality of Life Survey and if our results were coherent with the obtained ones by other authors in this type of models.
