Abstract:
In our country, various studies have been carried out on the concept and characteristics of ?a??z? in Turkish Folk Music. These studies did not go beyond the studies that were studied on a personal basis and related to the folk songs of her own or close regions. Subjects such as notating the works, writing the lyrics, specifying the source persons, revealing the musical genres (halay, deyi?, türkü etc.) and in some of them, giving the a??z knowledge of the region took place. The studies of linguists with Anatolian a??zs first started with foreign researchers in the 1800s and the process that started with Ahmet Cafero?lu continued with Turkish researchers. Having a very special texture from the west to the east of Anatolia, folk songs are not just a musical expression; They are audio transmissions that reveal data about the life of the people. In this context, folk-produced music are our important documents that reveal all the musical and literary aspects of the geography and region. Therefore, after the republican period, the first compilation studies to reveal material and spiritual values and their reflection to the public is a very valuable start. Starting with Muzaffer Sar?sözen and being part of TRT, the "Yurttan Sesler -Ensemble-? is the first example of "yöre a??zlar? -regional dialects-" that announced these works to the public on the radio. A??zs in folk music are outside the regions and regions where communities live; It also reveals a rich structure with the a??z types used by tribes and communities. Depending on the tradition of minstrelsy, the a??z that master minstrels personally put forward have a distinctive feature on their own. "gurbet havas?", "yayla havas?", "barak a?z?", etc., which are singed in the form of uzun hava, the performance of the works differs from each other in terms of the a??z used. The concept of a??z is an important element that reveals the identity and belonging of the folk song, apart from seeing the language structure of the region. One of the most important issues after the concept of a??z in the vocal performance of the works is the use of hançere (larynx) techniques.
