Abstract: The aim of this study is to calculate the unit cost of energy generated by wind and hydroelectric power plants to select the most appropriate technical and economical option out of these two alternative renewable energy sources, and to make a comparative analysis of them. In this context, in addition to the comparison of traditional cost items, the cost of the energy unit produced is calculated by means of value cost method.
