Abstract:
Air Transportation is one of the most important factors in achieving Turkey's policy of foreign expansion, the developing of exports and tourism because of the country's geopolitical and geographic location intensifying recent international relations. Transportation by airways has become more popular over the last years. Directly or indirectly, aviation industry affects most other industry and service providers. With the added value it presents and its support to the supply industries, aviation contributes to the country economy in a major way. This study aims to analyze the impact of investment in aviation on a country's development, using the time series methods. As a result of this analysis a relation between aviation investments and both short term and long term growth has been established.
