Abstract:
The reason why occupational health and safety has developed as an idea is that it has emerged starting from the formation of humanity and starting from the provision of safe nutrition, housing and job opportunities at every stage of life. The measures taken to avoid undesirable situations while performing various activities are called occupational health and safety. The main factor that ensures the development of occupational health has been the developments in the field of health and diseases detected in employees in the working environment. With industrialization, diseases caused by the labor factor began to be seen. In practice, the concepts of occupational health and safety differ from each other. Occupational health is to provide a healthy environment to employees in accordance with health standards, and occupational safety is to ensure the safety of the working environment by identifying hazards and risks that will disrupt the integrity of employees' organs and affect their vital events in the working environment. Every stage of life is directly related to occupational health and safety. Occupational health and safety is also a culture. The basis of culture is the habits of society. Introducing children to these issues from an early age will contribute to the formation of the foundations of safety and health habits that they will maintain throughout their lives. The main purpose of this study is the idea that safety culture should be acquired from elementary school. In this study, the topic of Occupational Health and Safety in Primary School Institutions was covered.
