Abstract:
Abstract The aim of the study was to observe the cursive handwriting skill performances of the first graders. The work group of the research was formed of 364 first graders selected from three primary schools which were called Hasip Dinçsoy, Engin Can Güre and Cumhuriyet Primary School in Esenler district of ?stanbul province in 2010-2011. Students Turkish notebooks were investigated by ?Cursive Handwriting Scale? which is developed by researchers. In the study the first graders? cursive handwriting skill were investigated for various variables. The variables were sex, the situation of getting pre-school education. At the end of the research findings are evaluated in the other researches in education literature.
