Abstract: The purpose of this essay is to explain the epistemological foundation that serve as the basis spiritual values and to make practical suggestions in this regard.Values, which have an indispensable role in the training of qualified individuals, have many references such as religion, culture and tradition. The intensity of these references varies according to the cultural structure. When it comes to Turkish society, the most effective reference source is religion. Therefore, in this essay, it has been tried to show that value education which is most compatible with cultural codes is spiritual value education and values education proposal for high school students is given.
