Citation Analysis: The Works of Leading Figure in the Field of Information Science

Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to present a citation analysis of the works of Tefko Saracevic, a professor at the School of Communication, Information and Library Science at Rutgers University. This study examined the major works of Tefko Saracevic through citation analysis by employing Google Scholar, Web of Science, and Scopus. According to the the results of the analysis, the h-index score of Saracevic is found 23 by both Web of Science, Google Scholar, and Scopus. The results indicate higher citation counts for Google Scholar compared to Web of Science and Scopus. Google Scholar revealed a total number of 11408 citations counts proving Saracevic as one of the most influential authors in the discipline of information science.
