Abstract: In some of the production of cereals and vegetable products in Turkey is achieved selfsufficiency in some products (legumes, maize and rice production) appears to meet the domestic demand as of the particular year. Oil seeds and oleaginous fruits are generally in the production of domestic demand has become a party to meet Turkey's completely dependent and arises out of a result that a net importer. Period 2002-2017 in terms of foreign trade in the agricultural sector" oil seeds and oleaginous fruit (SITC Rev4, Level-2, SITC 22)" category in Turkey; increased trade and a constant foreign trade deficit. Sixteen-year period in exchange for a $ 18.6 billion $ 2.1 billion in imports and exports have taken place resulting in a total of only one group of agricultural products in Turkey was faced with about 16.5 billion foreign trade deficit. The purpose of this study is; The 2002-2017 period is to assess the current situation in Turkey found by examining the developments in the foreign trade and oilseed production for Turkey to follow and suggestions regarding the future hold in terms of the oilseed policy.
