Abstract:
The study takes the relationship between disease and poverty into a special consideration by a comparative analysis. In this framework, it was analyzed how the illness dragged into poverty and how the person impoverished. In the study, it was determined that there is a linear connection between the disease and poverty. Namely, some types of diseases are at a level that can make the person disabled, and therefore the person cannot work and cannot perform normal life functions. Therefore, the person cannot work and is financially lost. The poverty level increases when her family and herself cannot provide for their livelihood, cannot feed properly and cannot meet all their other needs. This study was evaluated from the perspective of social workers to this problem. In the study, especially the condition of cancer patients was analyzed by giving an example. The research has been also supported by a literature evaluation and a survey.
