INVESTIGATION OF POSTGRADUATE THESES RELATED TO MUSIC THERAPY IN TURKEY

Abstract: This study was performed with the aim of investigation and classification the graduate studies was conducted about music therapy in Turkey, according to specific characteristics. The data of the research conducted with the descriptive method were obtained by scanning the thesis in the YÖK National Thesis Center. As a result of the screening, no thesis made until 2008 was found. It has been determined that there are a total of 33 theses on the relevant subject since 2008. It was determined that most of the theses (54.54%) were made in the field of health sciences. There is only one thesis on this subject in the field of Music in the YÖK website. As a result, it is recommended to introduce the field of music therapy to undergraduate and graduate students better, to increase the number of studies in this field and to encourage studies in the field of fine arts.
