Abstract: Countries can increase their health safety performance by doing activities that will ensure each other of the components of the Global Health Security Index (GHSI). In this context, the relationship structure between GHSI components was determined by the DEMATEL method based on Somer's d, over the values of the GHSI components of 195 countries for the latest and current 2019 in the research. According to the results of the research, it has been observed that the component that contributes the most to the relational structure is "prevention", while the component with the highest relational intensity is "risk environment". In addition, in the relational structure between the GHSI components, "detection and reporting", "compliance with international norms" and "risk environment" components that affect "prevention", "rapid response " and "health system". was found to be affected. In this context, it has been concluded that the components of "detection and reporting", "compliance with international norms" and "risk environment" should carry out activities that will provide each other and other components in order to increase the health and safety performance of countries in general.
