Abstract: In this study, it was aimed to examine the effect of cognitive emotion regulation strategies on educational stress in university students. In addition, it was also examined whether emotion regulation strategies and educational stress differ according to demographic characteristics. The questionnaire form prepared to collect data within the scope of the research was shared on the internet. T-test, ANOVA test and regression analysis were performed with the data obtained from 116 students who answered the questionnaire. As a result of the difference analysis, it was found that cognitive emotion regulation strategies do not differ according to gender, besides, educational stress differs according to education level. As a result of the regression analysis, it was found that cognitive emotion regulation strategies have significant effects on workload stress, self-expectation stress, and hopelessness stress.
