Abstract:
One of the factors affecting success in education is the student's attitude towards the subject, school and teacher. A positive attitude towards education will increase the student's success. The aim of this research is to determine the attitudes of 6th, 7th and 8th grade students in Mardin city center towards physical education. 385 students, 200 male and 185 female students, were included in the sample by random sampling method. 34.4% of these students are in the sixth grade, 31.9% are in the seventh grade and 33.7% are in the eighth grade. In the analyzes made, it was determined that the attitudes of the students towards the physical education lesson differed significantly according to their gender and grade levels. It was observed that the physical education lesson attitude of male students and sixth grade students was significantly higher.
