Abstract: Understanding national security in post-Cold War countries; It needed to be redefined to account for emerging threats beyond the classical danger of war, such as terrorism, immigration, the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. In this context, Turkey, which is located in the geographical center where many crises such as the Balkans, the Middle East and the Caucasus have been experienced, has started to play a more active role in ensuring peace and security in the international arena. With its peacekeeping activities, the TAF actively contributes to the reduction of tensions and the resolution of crises in the countries in which it operates. Within the framework of bilateral and multilateral relations, the Armed Forces has become a successful and sought-after force in military training cooperation and in multinational peacekeeping and peacekeeping operations conducted within NATO. This situation strengthens the position of Turkish foreign and security policy. The friendships established with the local people through the foreign activities of the TAF will be further strengthened by the revitalization of Turkey's commercial, economic and cultural relations and academic ties in these regions.
