METEPHORICAL INVESTIGATION OF SCHOOL PRINCIPALS' OPINIONS ON THEIR EDUCATIONAL INSPECTORS (EXAMPLE OF DENIZLI PROVINCE MERKEZEFENDI)

Abstract:
Ministry of Education With the "Guidance and Research Centers Guidance and Supervision Guide" issued by the Guidance and Supervision Directorate in 2015, a radical change was made and the course supervision of the Education Inspectors was transferred to the school principals. With this Guidance and Research Centers Guidance and Supervision Guide, it is aimed that the annual guidance and supervision should be carried out every three years and an in-depth examination should be carried out. In order to reveal the feelings and thoughts of school principals about Education Inspectors, the following question was directed to 27 school principals in the Merkezefendi district of Denizli province, "Education Inspectors are like...". The data of the research were collected by answering the fill-in-the-blank question "Because……..". School principals produced a total of 22 metaphors. According to the results of the research, it was seen that the metaphors produced by school principals were generally metaphors consisting of positive analogies. According to the results of the research, 7 of the metaphors produced by the school principals were negative, 11 of them were both positive and negative, and 6 of them were metaphors loaded with positive meaning. Two of the school principals produced metaphors stating that school and course supervision is unnecessary and that the concept of education inspectors should be abolished. School principals' most common response to education inspectors is; They have produced the metaphors of "fair, serious, negative thinking, unable to empathize, trying to hurt".
